| comments: | Congrats to Dave Vidal on his hall of fame induction, Also to Unclue Wiggly's band for the blues catagory. As Sheriff was the first Victoria band I ever noted, via a gig poster, one day after arriving in town in April of 1969. - August 5, 2010, 7:16 am |

| comments: | I wanted to express my deepest condolences to the Spedding family for their profound loss. Dan was a life-long fixture of the music scene here in town both as a player and as a technophile. When I was a kid, I would walk down the street to the house where Changing Time would be practicing and just sit there for hours feeling the electricity of my first live music experience. It's amazing that feeling of being completely enveloped by the power of amplified instruments and drums when you're a kid. Dan gave me my first guitar lessons and really instilled in me a passion for the guitar. I remember how proud he was of me when I finally had the ascending and descending A minor pentatonic scale in fifth position licked. Besides George Harrison, Dan was my first real guitar hero and certainly the first I knew in person. That was along time ago now but those kinds of memories never go away. Thanks Dan. Rest in peace. - July 23, 2010, 6:33 pm |
